Tschau
In Deutschland dauerts halt länger.

FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Dear Prospective and Current Shareholders:
It is with great enthusiasm that I update you on the state of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc.
2007 holds many promising opportunities for us that we believe we can capitalize on with a new team, renewed energy, fresh ideas and a more focused vision for moving our company forward, and creating shareholder value.
There are a number of positive developments to report, but none more vital than our evolving business model. Following an internal strategic planning meeting in late January, NeoMedia is now laser focused on our core code- reading business in North America, the UK, mainland Europe and China.
All other business units (Micro Paint Repair, 12Snap, and Telecom Services) are either in the process of being sold, or will be sold in the most profitable, timely and viable manner possible. The strategic equity earned through the sale of these assets will greatly reduce our current burn rate, and help us move closer to profitability and provide financial stability for the company. Our goal is to break even by December 31, 2007 and become profitable by the first quarter of next year.
Most importantly, the shedding of our non-core assets affords us the ability to focus all our resources on our core business initiatives. We realize the challenges we face in the global application of our technology, and can now present qode to the industry and public in a more systematic and focused approach marketing it as 'the next phase of the Internet' and the wireless Web.
We are also making great strides to create a global standard for the wireless Web and have scheduled a high-level meeting in London this month with some of the world's leading technology firms to begin to define and document this important standards-based initiative.
Building on the deals we have completed, we will focus on targeting manufacturers within the media and enterprise space, including newspapers, publishers, real estate, physical world advertisers, and beverage producers to design their products to become more interactive. We envision a future in which consumers routinely 'qode it' when they want more information on a product or service.
We believe the revenues generated by our core business could be significant and our goals include hiring a new sales force, while penetrating three verticals with at least six major customers. Another major goal is to partner with at least three major carriers (North American, UK and mainland European) who will embed, adopt and commit to utilize every feature qode has to offer.
We recently signed a performance-based agency and licensing agreement with NexMobil, LLC, to resell our technology into the Middle East, India, Korea and Pakistan.
As you know, we have numerous issued patents with others in process and we will continue to seek to optimize the value of our intellectual property portfolio around the world. That said, I would like to update you on a recent positive development in the Scanbuy case. Judge John E. Sprizzo dismissed Scanbuy's request for a summary judgment in New York City on Jan. 30. While the case is not over yet, we continue to remain confident in the final outcome.
Another of our key strategic goals is to look to attract a minority equity investment from a strategic industry partner to support our current financial structure with Cornell Capital Partners.
In terms of new leadership, we expect to name a permanent CEO by mid-year. In addition, Roger Pavane has recently been brought in as our SVP of Sales and Marketing and is heading up the mobile division efforts in the Americas and the UK. Mr. Pavane is a wireless industry veteran with 20+ years experience in this space. Prior to NeoMedia, Mr. Pavane headed up efforts for Mobliss, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tokyo-based Index Corporation, and served as Executive Vice President Sales of TruePosition, a Liberty Media-owned wireless location technology software company where he lead the start-up company to record growth. We are also very pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Christian Steinborn, current president of Gavitec, who will now also head up the mobile division efforts in the rest of the world, with a focus on mainland Europe and China.
We will also be announcing terms of a company-wide stock option re-pricing today. We are instituting it as a retention tool to align our employees with the new vision of NeoMedia. The re-pricing is to the current market price for vested options, with future vesting at a premium to the current market price to better align our employees with our shareholders who are expecting increasing stock performance.
We also would like to announce that George O'Leary has been named as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. O'Leary is currently the President of SKS Consulting of South Florida Corp. and is working with NeoMedia under a two year consulting agreement to help right the ship and currently will lead the execution of the strategic plan. Prior to assuming his duties with NeoMedia, he was and still is a consultant to NeoGenomics (NGNM.OB) and was acting Chief Operating Officer from October 2004 to April 2005 were he helped the turnaround of that organization. He is currently a member of their Board of Directors, and the stock price has seen a sevenfold increase since his involvement with the company. Mr. O'Leary started SKS Consulting in 2000 with the mission to help companies focus on execution in their core business while shedding their non-core business assets. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. O'Leary was CEO and President of Communication Resources Incorporated (CRI), where annual revenues grew from $5 million to $40 million during his tenure. Prior to CRI, Mr. O'Leary was Vice President of Operations of Cablevision Industries, where he ran $125 million of business for this major cable operator until it was sold to Time Warner. We look forward to Mr. O'Leary helping NeoMedia in these arenas as well.
We embrace the challenges ahead and believe we have a streamlined, focused vision and game plan, and the dedicated team in place to execute it.
We look forward to communicating with you at our next earnings conference call at the completion of our 2006 audit and will continue to have quarterly shareholder conference calls going forward.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Charles W. Fritz
Interim CEO and Chairman

Telcel to Use NeoMedia's qode Mobile Technology at Mexican Tennis Open
FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NeoMedia Technologies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NEOM - News), announced today that its patented qode® technology, which links users via cell phones to the Mobile Internet, will be used by Ideas Telcel, the company's value added services brand, for The Abierto Mexicano Telcel -- Mexican Tennis Open tournament.
The Abierto Mexicano Telcel is the premier tennis tournament in Latin America and one of the most awaited sports events of the year. The tournament attracts top-ranked male and female tennis players from around the world.
Telcel is the first Mexican company using the qode® technology to interact with consumers, who will be able to click on two-dimensional codes and type keywords on a search-style window on their mobile phones to receive more information about each game, player profiles and statistics and pictures. Ideas Telcel is the leading VAS brand in Mexico and always at the forefront of new technologies for Telcel's customers. Ideas will pioneer the use of qode®, expecting to revolutionize one more time the handset personalization and the mobile data transmission experience in the Mexican market.

Ein Strich sagt mehr als tausend Worte
Funkchips in Werbeanzeigen?

Solar Enertech Corp Reports on Strategic Milestones Prepares to Commence Efforts at R&D Joint Lab
MENLO PARK, CA ----Feb 28, 2007 -- Solar EnerTech Corp. (OTC BB:SOEN) (the Company) advises that upon the close of the Chinese New Years holiday season and recommencement of business the Company wishes to notify it filed the requisite 10QSB and 10QSB/A regulatory reports just prior to the start of the holiday season.
The reports submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") detail events for the critical growth period of October 1 to December 31, 2006, throughout which the Company has achieved the following milestones:
1) Start up of production line #1 rolled out the first batch of solar modules on Nov 23rd and concurrently launched SolarE as market identity and brand name.
2) Successfully completed a $5.6 million financing.
3) Engaged Knight Capital Markets LLC as advisors.
4) Released beta version of proprietary Power Conditioning Software.
5) Inaugurated Joint R&D Lab with Shanghai University.
These strategic milestones in 2006 have set a solid foundation for the companys' future development and have exceeded initial expectations by virtue of Managements ability to work closely with Chinas governmental systems.
The Company quickly acquired both its license to conduct business as well as favored tax status from the Chinese government in late July, then went on to complete its facility infrastructure and installation of solar cell equipment culminating in its first product shipment within a mere 5 months. This accomplishment has been acclaimed by members of the local solar industry as a small miracle and has sent a healthy message to the Company's employees boosting their confidence in their own ability to transform future challenges into success.
Due principally to these achievements, Solar EnerTechs first sales contract was signed in January of this year, which will bring in $9.2 million of revenue.
Additionally, the R&D Lab with Shanghai University has launched five significant research projects simultaneously. These developmental experiments are slated to begin in the Joint Lab as well as at Solar EnerTechs manufacturing plant during the first week of March. This will be the first test of the Joint Labs ability to fast-track R&D initiatives to commercialization.
In related news, an upsurge of visits by potential buyers from Asia, Europe, and North America have necessitated the Company open an in-house office offering a specially trained multi-lingual team to host visits to the Company's corporate office and manufacturing plant at Jin Qiao Modern Technology Park.
Additionally, as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games are less than 18 months away, the Company is actively seeking initiatives to assist Olympic organizers and other event stakeholders towards providing green power technology highlighting opportunities geared towards facility and equipment infrastructure, such as venue electrical power supplementation, hybrid vehicle support, lighting solutions, and portable toilet alternative energy sources.
About Solar EnerTech Corp. (OTC BB: SOEN)

Led by one of the industry's top scientists, the Company's R&D program will work to bring Solar EnerTech to the forefront of advanced solar technology research and production. The Company has also established a marketing, purchasing and distribution arm in Northern California's Silicon Valley.

FT. MYERS, Fla, July 24, 2007 — NeoMedia Technologies Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM) the global leader in camera-initiated transactions for mobile devices, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rejected an application to invalidate its patents and intellectual property on how camera phones read, translate, and process images and codes.
The challenge by the Electronic Freedom Foundation (EFF) was its second unsuccessful attempt to dislodge NeoMedia’s patents which cover how camera phones read and process symbols, images, UPC codes and RFID signatures through wireless networks. NeoMedia’s patented process allows wireless operators to leverage camera phones to further monetize their networks as they provide new methods for consumers, businesses, advertisers and brands to use wireless technology.
“NeoMedia is once again very pleased with the decision of the U.S. Patent Office, and will continue to drive for use of mobile code technology that achieves mass global adoption of optically initiated wireless transactions on wireless networks,” said William J. Hoffman Jr., the company’s CEO.
“NeoMedia,” he said, “is continuing to work with any and all participants in the wireless ecosystem in an effort to create a global infrastructure that enables the broadest possible acceptance of mobile codes in all forms of commerce. By focusing on infrastructure that processes the transactions that drive this form of m-commerce,” Mr. Hoffman said, “NeoMedia believes it can best monetize and propagate the technology embodied in our IP to the benefit of the entire global wireless value chain.”

NeoMedia Technologies Inc. is betting on a stepped up sales and marketing campaign in Europe, Asia and Latin America to speed up adoption of the company’s mobile phone technology, the company’s executives said today.
The company plans to hire 11 sales employees and spend about $1 million in marketing to increase adaptation of the Fort Myers-based company’s technology and services, said chief executive officer William “Chip” Hoffman.
NeoMedia offers technology that allows mobile phone users to take a picture of a printed bar code and then be linked, via the mobile Internet, to marketing or sales information related to that code. For example, a user might take a picture of a code printed on a movie poster and then be taken to a Web site to buy tickets to see the movie.
Hoffman, in his first conference call since taking the job on June 6, told investors that the widespread use of mobile phones with cameras and Internet access has reached the “critical mass” needed to drive the business.
In addition to that technology, Hoffman said NeoMedia is committed to being the universal solution to complete such a transaction, regardless of the brand of phone, type of the code or product being marketed. The company’s technology now reads five types of codes but will read seven to 10 by the end of the year, Hoffman said.
“We want to make sure that not only does the rising tide lift our boats, but all boats, and we will participate in the lifting,” Hoffman said.
Hoffman compared the change in thinking to the change from early ATM cards, which could be used only at the customer’s bank, to cards that today can be used at networks around the world.
The sales team will focus outside of North America because mobile phone marketing techniques are less established here, Hoffman said.
However, company executives conceded that the expense of hiring and marketing will likely keep the company operating at a loss well into 2008.
In the three months ended June 30, the company reported a net loss of $2.6 million, or less than one cent per share. In the same period a year ago, the company reported net income of $5.1 million, or about 1 cent per share.
