Das Grundstück liegt 55km nordwestlich von der größten und einer der lukrativsten Gold/Kupfer Minen von Kanada. Es handelt sich hier um die "Kemess Mine" von der North-Gate Minerals, Inc. North-Gate hat in den letzten Jahren 52.260 kg Gold, 173.769 kg Silber und 165.682 t Kupfer gefördert. Die Mine hat seit 1998 mit Edelmetallen und Kupfer ca. 1,3 Mrd CAD Umsatz erzielt.
Starfire Minerals, Inc. erwirbt das Grundstück unter folgenden Bedingungen:
- ein Betrag in Höhe von 535.000,00 CAD - 3,6 mio Starfire Aktien - Starfire verpflichtet sich über eine Laufzeit einen Mindestbetrag von 4.750.000,00 CAD in den nächsten 5 Jahren zu investieren
Seit 1971 wurde verschiedene Bohrprogramme auf diesem Grundstück durchgeführt, daher liegen sehr fundamentale Daten vor, die darauf hinweisen, dass dieses Arial die gleiche Struktur aufweißt, wie die der oben beschriebenen Kemess Mine.
Starfire Minerals, Inc. wird im Mai 2006 ein großes Explorationsprogramm auf diesem Grundstück starten.

Die größte Zone habe dabei vier erzhaltige Adern über eine Breite von 1,5 km und einer Länge von 2,4 km umfasst. Zwischen 1969 und 1976 seien hier bereits umfangreiche Testbohrungen vorgenommen worden, die allein nur in der Hauptader auf ein Vorkommen von 1,5 bis 3 Mio. Tonnen Erz mit einem Urangehalt zwischen 0,02% bis 0,1% schließen lassen würden. In einer weiteren Zone würden nach Ergebnissen aus dem Jahre 1970 bis zu 5 Mio. Tonnen Uranerz vermutet. Darüber hinaus bestehe enormes Explorationspotenzial in den bisher nicht erschlossenen Bereichen der Capri Property. Allein dieses eine Projekt könnte bei weiter positiven Ergebnissen eine Verzehnfachung des Aktienkurses rechtfertigen.
Aber Starfire habe noch weitere Granaten im Portfolio. Dazu zähle "Cross Structure", wo zwischen 1955 und 1979 ebenfalls nach Uran gesucht worden sei. Nach den in dieser Woche gemeldeten Ergebnissen werde auch hier ein umfangreiches Uranvorkommen vermutet. Darüber hinaus sei neben uranhaltigem Erz auch noch Gold gefunden worden. Nach Abschluss einer umfangreichen Luftanalyse des Geländes, deren Erkenntnisse in den nächsten Tagen publiziert würden, sollten bei den aussichtsreichsten Zielen Testbohrungen folgen.
Außerdem besitze Starfire ein weiteres Uran-Projekt namens Stobie Lake. Auch hier könne das Unternehmen auf vorangegangene Bohrergebnisse zurückgreifen. Bohrungen seien in diesem Areal für das Frühjahr 2006 vorgesehen. Für positiven News Flow dürfte also gesorgt sein. Starfire sei auf der Jagd nach "low grade"-Uranvorkommen mit einer Zielgröße von 0,5 bis 2,0 Pfund Uran pro Tonne. Nach der Analyse der Experten von "Small Cap Research" dürfte Starfire allein beim Blockbuster Projekt "Capri Property" auf einem Vorkommen von 16 Mio. Tonnen mit einem Urangehalt von 0,5 Pfund pro Tonne sitzen.
Unter Berücksichtigung eines Uranpreises von 30 USD pro Pfund und eines Faktors von 0,2 für das Vorkommen "under ground" errechne sich daraus ein Wert von 48 Mio. USD bzw. umgerechnet 1,43 USD je Aktie. Beim Projekt "Cross Structure" erwarte man ein Vorkommen von 6 Mio. Tonnen mit einem Urangehalt von 0,5 Pfund pro Tonne. Dies entspreche einem Wert von 18 Mio. USD bzw. 0,54 USD je Aktie.
Bei rund 33,5 Mio. ausgegebenen Aktien liege der Börsenwert von Starfire bei mageren 7 Mio. CAD, während das Unternehmen auf zwei Uranvorkommen im Wert von über 2 USD je Aktie sitze. Außerdem gebe es das dritte Uran-Projekt sowie ein hochkarätiges Nickel-Projekt namens "Langmuir South" noch umsonst dazu. Nach den bisher vorliegenden Bohrergebnissen liege das erste Kursziel der Experten von "Small Cap Research" für Starfire bei 0,50 Euro bis Ende dieses Jahres. Auf Sicht von 12 Monaten würden sie einen Kurs von 1,70 Euro für erreichbar halten. Ihrer Ansicht nach erwarte ein Kurspotenzial von über 1.000 Prozent. Sollte sich der Uranpreis mittelfristig verdoppeln bzw. verdreifachen, würde das einen zusätzlichen Megaturbo bei Starfire zünden.

VANCOUVER, Feb. 8 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Nickel Inc. a division of Starfire Minerals Inc. has received a technical report for its Langmuir South Property in Ontario, Canada. The report was prepared by Gerald Harron, P. Eng. of Ontario. Starfire Minerals also engaged A. Birkeland, P. Eng. of Arnex Resources Ltd. to conduct a field review of the property in January 2006.

The property consists of 4 unpatented and unsurveyed contiguous claims comprised of 17 units covering a nominal 272 ha. in Langmuir Township, Porcupine Mining Division, Ontario. The claims are 100% owned by Starfire Minerals Inc. subject to a 2% net smelter royalty held by the vendors of the property. Surface rights are attached to all the claims.
The Langmuir Property is located about 25km southeast of Timmins, Ontario in the central part of Langmuir Township, Ontario. Vehicular access to the property is by forestry roads extending southeast from South Porcupine (Timmins) to the past producing Langmuir No. 2 Mine Site. From this point, a network of roads and trails provides easy access to all parts of the property.
The bedrock geology of the property is dominated by komatiite flows intercalated with tholeiitic basalts of the basal Tisdale Assemblage. Underlying Deloro Assemblage rocks, exposed in the axial regions of anticlinal structures, consist of calc-alkaline felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks with discontinuous sulphidic / graphitic iron formation and chert.
The Langmuir No. 2 Mine ore deposits are classic examples of Type I komatiite related deposits with associated Type II net textured sulphide mineralization in the overlying komatiitic flows and Type V vein type mineralization in the footwall rocks. The Langmuir No. 2 Mine is located about 500m north of Starfire's property.
Type I mineralization is characterized by thin sinuous layers of massive sulphides (less than 20% gangue minerals) overlain by thicker layers of net- textures sulphides (20-60% gangue minerals) and generally less than 5 million tonnes and contain between 2 and 5% Ni plus credits for Cu, Co, Au and PGE's. About 75-90% of the economic mineralization typically occurs as massive sulphide mineralization at the base of komatiite lava channels and the balance is related to net-textured sulphide mineralization and vein-like sulphides hosted in the overlying and underlying host rocks. For more details on the geology and mineralization types the reader is referred to the report titled "Qualifying Report on Langmuir South Property, Langmuir Township Ontario, for Starfire Minerals" filed on Sedar by the company.
The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Starfire Nickel Inc., is planning to explore the property for additional nickel mineralization in the near future.
Based on the premise that the property is underlain by favorable host rocks as shown by the presence of the Langmuir No. 2 South Zone, located on the property near the northern claim boundary, a proposed Phase I budget of $310,000 is intended to complete a minor geophysical survey program and drill test electromagnetic conductors spatially related to South Zone mineralization, a 400m long zone of conductivity located southwest of the South Zone, another conductive zone located 300m to the southeast. A fourth drill target is a preliminary drill target of a komatiite located in the southeast corner of the property. A proposed Phase II budget of $850,000 is contingent upon favorable assay results being obtained in the Phase I program and will allow for an additional 10,000m of diamond drilling, which should provide sufficient detail to support a resource estimation. In total a $1,160,000 expenditure has been recommended to explore for economic nickel- copper-(PGE) mineraliztion on this property.
The South Zone of the Langmuir No. 2 deposit extends onto this property. A historical inferred resource of about 181,400 tonnes grading 1.5% Ni is thought to remain in the South Zone. It is estimated that approximately 100,000 tonnes of this historical resource resides on the Starfire property (Harron, 2006). While the stated historical inferred resource is considered relevant it cannot be verified by recent exploration programs and is not 43-101 compliant. The Company considers these estimates to be exploration targets that are conceptual in nature. (There has been insufficient exploration on these targets to define a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the discovery of a mineral resource. These estimates should not be relied upon for investment purposes).
After reviewing the attributes of the property, GAHA (G.A. Heron & Associates Inc.) is of the opinion that the Langmuir property is an "Advanced Exploration Property". The property has substantial geological merit by virtue of the presence of a historical inferred resource, a record of past production on adjacent claims and geophysical indicators of potential mineralization.

würde erst mal abwarten, man sieht doch, das die Rohstoffpreise einschl. Rohöl sinken, den Trend beobachten, bis klar ist wie es weiter geht.

Die erst vor kurzem erschienene Nachricht macht die Aktie sehr interessant und das Unternehmen zieht ganz langsam Anleger an sich.
Die Börsenbewertung des Unternehmens ist extrem niedrig.... im bestenfall wäre kurzfristig (noch in diesem Jahr) ein Kurssprung ähnlich wie bei Nova Uranium möglich falls weitere Nachrichten dieser Art erfolgen. Charttechnisch ist die Aktien am Anfang ihrer "Kariere" und im volatilen Aufwärtstrend. Jedenfalls habe ich diese Aktie hoch gewichtet ins Depot aufgenommen zu 0,17 EUR um den kurzfristigen Aufwärtstrend zu nutzen und ggf. Teilverkäufe zu machen.

VANCOUVER, March 7 /CNW/ - Starfire Nickel Inc., a division of Starfire Minerals Inc. is pleased to announce that research on historical data relating to its 96 hectare Carman Township property located 20 kilometres east-southeast of Timmins Ontario, Canada has revealed a major outcropping zone of nickel sulphide mineralization.

In a 1973 statement of Material Facts by Seneca Developments Limited, a "global resource" figure calculated by Dr. Kenneth H. Darke, P.Eng was stated to be 740 million tons (at) 0.25 % nickel. Work on the property at that time and used to support the estimate consisted of numerous pits and trenches and drilling of 8,500 feet of core in seven diamond drill holes, one of which, hole BM-7, is stated to have averaged 0.251% nickel over a continuous core section of 1,227 feet. (Dept of Energy, Mines and Resources, Ottawa File F 507918). The term "global resource" is considered to be equivalent to the CIM inferred resource category. The company is not treating the historical resource as a NI 43-101 defined resource or reserve verified by a qualified person and the historical resource should not be relied upon. This historical inferred resource illustrates the potential size of a nickel-bearing exploration target that could be delineated on the property.
Mineralogical and microprobe work conducted in 1970 on seventeen polished thin sections by Dr. John C. Rucklidge of the University of Toronto showed the nickel sulphide minerals to include heazlewoodite, millerite, pentlandite and a native iron-nickel alloy awaruite. Microprobe work also indicated the presence of cobalt in the sulphides. The studies also indicated that from 70 - 92% of the nickel content is in the form of sulphide and/or metallic iron - nickel alloy, i.e. as soluble phases.
A Geological report on the property dated 1998 by Todd Keast, P.Geo. recommended a program of geophysical, geochemical and drilling work to further evaluate the nickel and copper sulphide mineralization on the property.
The property lies within the Shaw Dome area of the productive Timmins Nickel belt where several former producers, current producers, and several properties undergoing current exploration are located. The property lies 3 km north of the Langmuir No 2 mine area where Inspiration Mining Corp is conducting extensive drilling and 4 km north of Starfire's Langmuir-South Property where an exploration program has been initiated on the extension of the Langmuir South nickel sulphide zone.
This press release was reviewed and verified by Gerald Harron, P.Eng of G. A. Harron and Associates of Toronto, the qualified person (QP) experienced in nickel exploration, who has been retained to prepare an NI 43-101 technical report covering the Carman Township Property and to recommend an exploration program to evaluate the potential for an open-pit bulk tonnage mining scenario.

VANCOUVER, April 25 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. has demonstrated widespread radioactivity, through a recent airborne survey, on its cross structure property near Havre St. Pierre, Quebec, Canada. Terraquest Ltd., the contractor, conducted state-of-the-art airborne radiometric, magnetometer, and VLF (electromagnetic or EM) surveys over the entire property prior to snow fall in late 2005.

The survey delineated multiple zones of anomalous radioactivity, including two zones in areas of previous historical exploration for uranium. Of particular significance for ground follow-up is the apparent correlation between broadly folded metamorphic bands, defined by a high magnetic response, and known areas of uranium mineralization. The folded favorable metamorphic rocks cover about one half of the property including much of the western half and the northeast corner. These anomalous belts are the zones of widespread strata-controlled radioactivity but there are also numerous somewhat isolated zones of strong radioactivity distributed in a general northwest band across the central portion of the property.
The possibility of a lithostratigraphic control on the occurrence of radioactive minerals will be assessed in the upcoming field season as part of a conceptual geologic model that may yield targets to be evaluated as bulk tonnage low grade open-pit mining situations. The rapidly increasing price of uranium compels the evaluation of such potentially mineable zones for possible production when prices reach substantially higher levels.
It is emphasized that despite historical exploration that has demonstrated the presence of two mineralized bands for which tonnage and grade were calculated at the time the property is in the early stage of exploration. No mineral resources are known to exist on the property and there can be no assurance that additional exploration will result in the delineation of any mineral resources.
Subject to the availability of personnel and equipment field work is anticipated to be carried out on this project in early summer.

TECHNICAL REPORT RECOMMENDS DRILLING ON STARFIRE'S CARMAN NICKEL PROSPECT, TIMMINS, ONTARIO, CANADA.
Starfire Minerals Inc. has received and filed on Stockwatch SEDAR a National Instrument 43-101 compliant report prepared by Gerald Harron of G.H. Harron and Associates of Toronto, Ont., covering its Carman township nickel prospect, Timmins, Ont., Canada. A program of $475,000 in two phases is recommended to investigate the economic potential of three untested conductive horizons on the property. A limited horizontal loop electromagnetic (HLEM) survey is recommended to guide drill location.
The Carman project is located on the eastern flank of the Shaw Dome structural feature about 20 kilometres southeast of Timmins, Ont. The Shaw Dome area hosts five massive sulphide nickel deposits and has the potential to host disseminated sulphide nickel deposits. Previous historical work in 1973 on the property has demonstrated the presence of finely disseminated nickel sulphides which will be investigated from a metallurgical recovery viewpoint. Surface mapping and sampling to confirm earlier work and to establish surface distribution of sulphides within the ultramafic mass are currently in progress.
Starfire has conducted only limited exploration to date on the property and no mineral resource under NI 43-101 has been calculated for the property. There can be no assurance that additional exploration will result in the establishment of a minerals resource on the property.
Starfire owns a 100-per-cent interest in the property subject to a 3-per-cent net smelter return royalty of which 1 per cent may be purchased for $1-million at any time prior to production.
