Jetzt erstmal abwarten, was die Analysten zu den Zahlen sagen und vor allem was der CEO von abk so von sich gibt.

Sehe ich das richtig, dass wir 20 Cent pro Aktie Verlust gemacht haben? Dann ist der Absturz aber schon ein bischen übertrieben finde ich.

wenn das stimmt dann sind die zahlen doch nicht so schlimm?
keiner weiss so genau was mann davon halten soll.  

Das steht jedes Mal drinnen - mach keinen Wind deswegen - die Alteingesessenen haben sich schon dran gewöhnt ;)

That compares to a net loss of $2.37 billion, or $8.24 a share, in the same period a year earlier. Ambac shares fell 20% to 72 cents in after-hours trading on Monday.

lustig wenn die mit dem Quartalsbericht gleich Gläubigerschutz beantragen (spart immerhin Papier ;).

Der Wortlaut ist schon seit x Quartalsberichten jedes Mal enthalten ...

Glaube ich nicht. Die Formulierung war im Kunjunktiv.  

wird denn jetzt da so ein panik gemacht verstehe ich nicht?
so schecht sieht die lage doch nicht aus.

Dort wurde die gleiche Vorgehensweise gewählt. Prepackaged bankcruptcy.  

Ich habe die alte Meldung jetzt nicht im Kopf, aber die CH11 Androhung stand immer in Bezug auf den August 2011 in den Berichten weil dann die Holding Pleite ist wenn nicht ein Wunder geschieht.

nebenbei; 0,82!  

Link Grisu, aber ich blick da einfach nicht durch - Monolinerzahlen sind ja dermaßen kompliziert, dass man sich nur von Leuten wie Marlboroman und Pfandbrief sagen lassen kann was man davon halten soll - das passt mir eigentlich gar nicht, analysiere meine Investments eigentlich lieber selber, aber hier habe ich wohl keine Wahl.

die grossen haie haben geschafft panik zu machen.
0,20cent ist für mich ei gutes ergebnis.
nächstes quartal haben wir ein gewinn.
ich verstehe nicht warum wir überm ein dollar sind.
letzter quartalsverlust war 2,60!
jetzt haben wir nur ein quartalsverlust von 0,20!
was hat man den hier erwartet ein plus?

Auch wenn ich Monolinerzahlen nicht wirklich interpretieren kann sagt mir der gesunde Menschenverstand, dass es nicht schlecht ist wenn man einen Überschuss/Kontostand (von was auch immer) von 160 Millionen auf 1,5 Milliarden erhöht hat.

gleich die Warnung mit Chapter 11 und "prepackaged" klingt wirklich wie von langer Hand geplant... Damit die FDIC nicht gleich wieder im Schneeballsystem ein neues Paket fallender Banken einsammeln muss.... und die Aktionäre sind wieder die Dummen.

Kleine Fussnote: MBIA-Zahlen waren aber für heute abend angekündigt, keine konspirative Schnellveröffentlichung

Hätte nur nicht gedacht, dass sich Ambac so von MBIA abkoppelt diesmal, bislang waren die mit Gewinnen und Verlusten einigermaßen parallel gelaufen, nur dass MBIA noch ein besseres Finanzpolster hatte. Ist glaube ich nun das erste Quartal seit der Finanzkrise, dass MBIA Gewinn und Ambac Verluste meldet
