During the course of the interview, Mr. Brehm discussed the benefits of the company\'s various environmental cleanup and agricultural yield solutions that rely on proprietary formulations and applications of naturally occurring microbes, or "bugs." The company\'s various products clean up soil, clean up water, and help agricultural products grow an additional 15% to 200% with half the water and no fertilizer. Mr. Brehm was very upbeat about U.S. Microbics\' recent prospects in Mexico, following on the heels of that country\'s adoption of more stringent environmental standards and the company\'s ongoing negotiations with various decision makers in the country.

SSWM Subsidiary Progresses on $14MM Proposal Backlog & ERC Contracts; Specific Contract Terms, Project Logistics and Financial Guarantees Put into Place
Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (OTCBB:SSWM), announced that its Mexico subsidiary company Environmental Tec International, S.A. de C.V. (ETI), continues to negotiate specific contract terms and conditions and project logistics in its previously announced $14 Million in written and submitted proposal backlog of work in Mexico as well as additional contract aspects of the Emergency Response Centers (ERC) project in Veracruz.

Bruce Beattie, CEO of SSWM, stated, "We continue to work on our submitted proposals to negotiate final contract terms and conditions acceptable to the company and its clients for individual projects as well as the Veracruz emergency response centers. Last week for example, the principals of ETI met with officials in the State of Veracruz to address third party financing guarantees for the Deutsche Forfait Bank (http://www.defag.de) emergency response equipment lease commitment which under Mexican law requires a first floor national bank\'s participation to accept foreign offshore originating funds. Our participation in these meetings was paramount as we are establishing a business model that could be adopted by many other states as they choose to implement emergency centers."

Beattie continued, "ETI staff also worked with representatives from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and resolved contract concerns in principle with the Federal Electricity Commission (C.F.E.) for the generating plant in the south of Mexico, in Merida, Yucatan, at Nachi Cocom. These negotiations will allow the company to mobilize to the site in the near future."

Beattie further elaborated, "At the personal request of the Governor of Puebla, ETI staff reviewed the laboratory sample analysis collected during site visits two weeks ago and crafted our engineering approach and cost to address cleanup at these critical impact release sites. The cost proposal, produced in both English and Spanish, will be presented this week to Puebla officials for approval. We continue to develop, track and negotiate all our project opportunities in Mexico very carefully and will keep our shareholders informed of important developments as they occur as well as specific contract values as they are awarded."

CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug 10, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc. (BB:SSWM) announced it has received authorization from PROFEPA, the environmental policy enforcement regulatory agency of Mexico\'s Secretary of the Environment (SEMARNAT), to begin removal of successfully treated excavated soils that meet regulatory cleanup limits for impacts from hydrocarbon machine oil at this confidential U.S. manufacturing company operation in northern Mexico.

Bruce Beattie, President of SSWM, stated, "This client sought our early involvement to reduce the expense and delays inherent in pursuing conventional cleanup remedies which were estimated to exceed $6MM and take up to 48 months and included shutting down their production facility, an unacceptable alternative for the client. SSWM was called in and we completed a site investigation and engineered a remedial plan using our proprietary microbial blends to bioremediate the constituents of concern inadvertently released. Our cleanup solution took 24 months at a cost to the client of approximately $1.4MM and with little if any downtime in production. We used both in-situ (underground) and ex-situ (Bio-Raptor(TM)) proprietary technology to quickly remediate the soil turning toxics into harmless carbon dioxide and water. New procedures and staff training were also set up to avoid similar spills in the future."

BUGS 0.0146 0.0002dollars or (1.35%)
SSWM 0.045 (Unchanged)
Beattie continued, "This project was a watershed project for PROFEPA since it was the first project to our understanding, under the new environmental laws, that combined ex-situ and in-situ treatment at the same site and fully demonstrated the cost and time savings of our proprietary technology as well as the competency of our engineering staff for solving tough environmental problems with the help and support of government officials with pro-active environmental agendas. We applaud their confidence in our abilities and look forward to many more successful future projects in Mexico."

BUGS Releases Third Quarter Financial Results; Mexico Business Development Continues Strong as Existing Contracts Near Completion
U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB:BUGS) (BCN:615212) today announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2006 ended June 30, 2006. Compared to the third quarter of last fiscal year, revenues decreased by 75% as contracts neared completion, while gross profits increased to 49% of revenue and operating expenses rose as business development efforts continued strong in Mexico.

BUGS CEO Robert Brehm commented, "BUGS\' revenue decreased in second quarter as we neared the end of several projects in Mexico by our environmental subsidiary, Sub-Surface Waste Management (OTCBB:SSWM), while starting newer ones that have little initial revenue recognition in the early stages. Gross profit margins where significantly higher on the reduced revenue, and we expect higher revenues in the last quarter as the new projects ramp up now that we have our diagnostic equipment running well in Mexico. The Company anticipates completing the contracting paperwork this quarter for the eleven environmental emergency response centers located throughout the state of Veracruz and plans to start center implementation shortly thereafter."
