Evolving Gold Intersects 405.4 Meters at 1.31 gpt Gold at Rattlesnake Hills
Dec. 1, 2010 (Canada NewsWire Group) --
Includes 50.3 Meters at 5.87 gpt Gold
VANCOUVER, Dec. 1 /CNW/ - Evolving Gold Corp. (TSXV: EVG) (FSE: EV7) (the "Company") is pleased to announce additional assay results from the 2010 core drilling program at its Rattlesnake Hills project in central Wyoming. Drill hole RSC-135, part of an infill drilling program at the North Stock gold zone, intersected 405.4 meters at 1.31 gpt Au, including 50.3 meters at 5.87 gpt Au, and 7.6 meters at 21.82 gpt Au.
Summary of Results:
•Drill hole RSC-135 intersected 405.4 meters at 1.31 gpt Au (1,330 ft at 0.038 opt Au), including 50.3 meters at 5.87 gpt Au (165 ft at 0.171 opt Au) and also including 7.6 meters at 21.82 gpt Au (25 ft at 0.637 opt Au).
•Drill hole RSC-132 intersected 334.7 meters at 1.12 gpt Au (1,098 ft at 0.033 opt Au), including 93.0 meters at 2.68 gpt Au (305 ft at 0.078 opt Au) and also including 18.3 meters at 5.17 gpt Au (60 ft at 0.151 opt Au).
Near vertical drill holes, RSC-132 and RSC-135 were drilled from a location near the top of North Stock Hill, and were drilled to the south to test the vertical continuity and extent of the central portion of the North Stock gold zone. Both holes intersected continuous gold mineralization beginning at shallow depths and extending to vertical depths in excess of 300 meters. Oxidation in these drill holes persists from the surface to vertical depths of approximately 150 meters and extends deeper along mineralized structures.
"Drill holes RSC-132 and RSC-135 both collared on a new drill pad constructed near the top of North Stock Hill, near the center of the diatreme breccia," comments Quinton Hennigh, President and Chief Geologist for Evolving Gold Corp. "Both holes demonstrate continuity of mineralization to depths of over 300 meters, and it is particularly encouraging to see mineralization starting within a few meters of the surface. We are also particularly pleased to see the depth of oxidation in these drill holes, which persists to depths that include the very high grade interval in drill hole RSC-135."
Infill drilling at North Stock and at Antelope Basin in 2010 was designed to improve delineation of the high grade gold mineralization within the larger volume of more modest grade gold values. The results of this drilling at North Stock have started to define a network of anastomozing, northeast-trending, steeply dipping high grade structures within the core of the North Stock gold zone. To date, drilling indicates a total strike length of this high grade zone of gold veins of approximately 300 meters. The most shallow intersection of the high grade zone is at about 79 meters, and the deepest is at nearly 400 meters below surface. All of the high grade veins appear to be within a corridor approximately 70 meters wide that forms the high grade core to the North Stock gold zone.
"Until recently our drilling was too widely spaced to adequately evaluate the higher grade gold mineralization at North Stock," states Quinton Hennigh. "With the completion of our 2010 drilling program, we now have intersections across most of the North Stock gold zone at 50 meter spacing. As a result, we are starting to see that some of the high grade intersections in the early drill holes appear to tie together with the more recent intersections. We therefore believe that we will be able to do a much better job of modeling these high grade structures once we have all the assay results from our 2010 program."
The Company completed a total of 63 core holes in 2010, for a total of approximately 25,600 meters (84,000 ft) of drilling. Assays are still pending for 21 drill holes. Of the remaining holes, fourteen are infill and step-out drill holes at North Stock, and five are infill and step-out drill holes at Antelope Basin. One hole tested a new mineralized zone between North Stock and Antelope Basin, which was discovered earlier in 2010, and one hole tested the deep porphyry target.

All drill hole averages are weighted averages, weighting each assay interval according to the core length for that assay interval. All assay intervals are included in the average, with no bottom cut-off. True widths of mineralization in these drill holes, at this stage of exploration, are not precisely known. Gold assays were completed by SGS Canada Inc. in Toronto, using a 30 gram charge, fire assay, with an ICP finish.
Weiter so ( Deutscher-Gol.).....

"Announcement to be formally made by friday, early next week.......EVG will be traded on the TSX next week from the conversation I had with Anthony. Lots to be excited about folks, this is just the beginning. These latest results aren't even the kicker, I hear the "stratigraphy of the high grade hit" early on at Carlin is very similar visually to that of Humboldt cores. Get ready for new all time highs in the not too distant future."

COMMENTARY– ProspectingJournal.com (click for original article) – December 1,2010 – Sometimes you can only take so much, when it comes to sitting andwaiting for a stock you're holding to take flight to the heights youenvisioned when you first bought it. For everyone, there's a limit, andwhen you've hit it, whether it be a personal limit or a price limit, yougotta go with your gut. And today, on his website Grandich.com,esteemed investment blogger Peter Grandich announced that he had hit hispersonal limit with Evolving Gold Corp. [EVG – TSX.V], a company thatstrangely enough opened the morning announcing very positive drillingresults.
But, we've all heard the saying “It's not personal, it'sjust business,” before at some point of our lives. Grandich, on theother hand, stressed the opposite, stating:
"There’s no questionEVG has two outstanding potential world-class projects and today’s newsfurther demonstrates that on one front. However, EVG has been like aball and chain to me as family, friends and followers have owned it andbecame quite “emotional” during the darker days. I truly don’t wish tohave to deal with their frustrations on a daily basis anymore.”
Now,we recently covered Evolving Gold in October, interviewing Presidentand Chief Geologist Quinton Hennigh the morning after results on drillholes 126 and 128 were released, and just as now with the results onholes RSC-132 and RSC-135, the story remains worth following. It's alsounderstandable how emotional the stock has been for Grandich, due to hisaddition of the stock at $1.40 to his tracking list. He'd since gone inat different points, even catching it when it was down, but again, itneeds to be stressed that there were other reasons behind his decision.
Thingscan change rather quickly in this investment world. Not quite two weeksago, the stock had won his love again, with his Grandich ClientEvolving Gold – It's Alive! posting. Through this entry, Mr. Grandichhad seen the potential in what the stock was doing, even playfullycommenting with his stock charts, “A weekly close above $1.25 would IMHObe a major technical achievement. A guy can dream you know-lol.”
Sometimesdreams can come true, albeit perhaps at the wrong time. As the tradingday played out today, the stock flirted above that $1.25 level, hittinghighs of $1.28 and $1.27 on more than a few occasions during the morningtrading hours. The stock floated lightly back down to close at $1.16,but the fact remains that the potential Grandich wished for did in factshow itself, if even for a glimpse.
For those that are stickingwith the stock outside of the Grandich announcement, the fact remainsthat the company has shown potential, and does so for the same reasonsthat Grandich got into it for. Two great properties, showing gold trendswith open-pitable potential for the future. Gold went up again todayfor the third day in a row, and that never hurts the potential for whenthe mining commences. Every company has to start somewhere, and its notlike the Evolving Gold story doesn't mimic other success stories fromthe past.
Hopping in our time machine back to February 2009,Ventana Gold Corp. [VEN – TSX] was in the same league as Evolving Gold, hovering in the $1.00-$1.50 region, before positive announcements of itsLa Mascota drill results shot the price up to $4.44 within a week, during June. Too some, that may have been enough, and for their ownpersonal reasons would've gotten out at that stage, but after holding onat that rate for a few months until October, La Mascota news bumped itagain to $8.60, and further to $12 by mid November. That said, a lot canchange when it comes to outlooks on stocks, dependant upon when you getin. Ventana dropped back down to $6.44 at a point this summer, whicheven now looks like a great price to have gotten in, since the stock iscurrently trading above $13.
These stories happen all the time.Rainy River Resource Ltd. [RR – TSX.V] is another, which spent most of2009 between $1-$2.25 before closing 2009 off at $4. Standing tall andnearing the $13 mark, RR has come a long way from its post-2008-crashlowpoint of
.67. Its story currently swirls around 2.18g/t over 298m, whereas Evolving Gold's is 1.31g/t over 405m.
Another is East Asia Minerals Corp. [EAS – TSX.V], which bounced away from its 2009 opening of
.21to $4.40 at the same time to open 2010. Even though it spent most of2010 in the $1-$2.50 range, EAS made its projects' stories count, andits shareholders reap the reward of $7.39 a share today. What matters iswhen does the story take hold and captivate the audience it needs.
Aftertoday, Evolving Gold may have to go on without the help of PeterGrandich's coverage, but given the popularity of its story in theaftermath, it may not need the extra coverage. Whether his decision toget out was the right one at the right time remains to be seen, butreading his insights over the company will surely be missed by us in hisreadership that refuse to let go.

"While bordering on the absurd with as little work as I put into it I have successfully estimated the number of ounces on several gold properties in the past, some number of years ahead of meaningful 43-101s.
Each aspect of this estimate open to debate and I spent only ten minutes looking at the diagrams and crossections at Rattlesnake and looked only at the hill relating to the 405 meter intercept.
I calculate 1.78 MM Oz. and a per share present value of roughly $6.00. While no one knows the precise or even the general shape of the ore body, it begins near surface on a hill and the drill holes execute a conical map which is not contradicted by intercepts to date. Volume of a cone is V=Pi*h*rr/3. So if we were to view the ore body as two 200 meter cones stacked, one flowing outward from the mountain or hill top and the other following a narrowing open pit to bottom depth and an average grade of 1 gram (moderately aggressive); net margin of $1000 (moderately aggressive) four years to development and ten year mine life w ten percent discount rate PV of gold is approx $450 MM or +$6/share.
While a swag, it provides some insight into significance of this last drill hole. I tend to discount some of EVGs holes in other areas as they seem "deep" which in my mind makes them speculative. I think Rattlesnake and the recent release give us something very tangible to pin value on .... a base if you will. Forward movement of gold prices poses as big a risk as any aspect of this stock."
