Ballard tatsächlich die aktuellste, innovativste Technik für VW bietet ? - soviel ich weiß, hat ballard mit VW einen 3 Jahres Vertrag ..., und damit sehe ich die Realisierung bei Ballard bei weitem noch nicht als fixiert. - Wer weiß was nach diesen 3 Jahren ist ? - Wer sagt dass es nicht für VW einen besseren Brennstoffzellen Anbieter gibt ! 

VW rührt bis dato seinen Hinterteil nicht in diese Richtung.. Es kommen nur Ankündigungen, genauso wie bei Mercedes. Und diese werden dann jährlich verschoben. Daher sind natürlich auch viele Investoren vorsichtig, denn was schlussendlich wirklich abgeht, wissen wir nicht, auch wenn manche den großen Stern "Ballard" bereits erkennen wollen. Doch bis dato ist nichts in der Kiste.

BAE Systems has joined the Transportation Department’s $13.6 million initiative to develop hydrogen fuel with the goal of marketing fuel cells to the transportation sector, Hydrogen Fuel News reported Monday.
DOT will distribute funding for eight hydrogen fuel projects and BAE will serve as a manufacturing partner of Ballard Power Systems, SunLife Transit Authority and ElDorado National.
BAE will build hydrogen-powered buses at its New York-based HybriDrive Solutions facility for use in the department’s initiative to commercialize hydrogen fuel in public utility vehicles, the report says.
The BAE team will work to test the hydrogen fuel cells for application on buses, Hydrogen Fuel News reports.
The company will also use a technology developed by its partner Ballard Power Systems for the initiative, according to the publication.

oder Fonds der Bank halten diesen Bestand von ca. 5,5 %. Spannend wäre es zu erfahren, ob da"strategische Investoren" hinterstecken oder Fonds; können aber auch viele Anleger als Gruppe sein: hat m.E. mit Meldepflichten zu tun.

Sehr interessant wäre es indes, wenn ein Unternehmen/Anlegergruppe o.ä. mehr als 5 % zusammen gekauft haben...well......Aktie müsste nun auch mal drehen, wenn man all die guten News zu Plug Power als Partner für Gabelstapler u.a. liest.

aber neue Aufträge sind rar ... - alles nur weitere Testversuche.... - das stimmt mich traurig. ..

Es wird definitiv noch nichts flächendeckend in Städten eingesetzt... - es bleibt seit 20 Jahren bei Testversuchen.... pro Stadt 1-5 Busse das wars ...

Wenn ich in so manchen Artikeln vernehme dass es in 20 Jahren einen Anteil von 50% H Autos geben wird, dann ist dies genauso, als würde man schreiben, jeder hat in 20 Jahren sein persönliches Flugzeug...

Schau im Endeffekt wird sich erst dann tatsächlich am Kurs etwas tun, wenn z.b. mal eine wirklich große Stadt auf H Busse umsteigt, oder die Nutzfahrzeuge auf diese Technik aufspringen - Ich verstehe seit Jahren nicht was hier dagegen spricht ? - die Technik ist seit Jahren reif dafür ... - und seit Jahren wird in den Medien berichtet wie toll es ist, und das es weitere Feldversuche gibt... - Irgendwo steckt da sicher eine große Lobby dahinter welche den großen Durchbruch verhindert... wenn diese weitere den Markt so kontrolliert, warten wir noch viele Jährchen, leider ....

- Ein Hersteller mit viel Geld könnte sich über solche Dinge wagen ....

Ein Apple Car, ein Microsoft Car, ein Samsung Car und und und ... 

Vielleicht findet sich ein Quereinsteiger der einen neuen Markt mit neuen Absatzchancen riecht ? - Wenn er Linde mit in's Boot nimmt, würde er auch die Versorgungsschiene sichern....

- aber vorab sind das alles nur Träume (ich denke "vieler") Ballard Aktionäre :-)

Acta S.p.A. (AIM: ACTA), the clean energy products company, is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with a new customer for a trial of its Acta Power back-up power system for telecommunications applications. The system is to be placed on trial with a second major mobile telecoms company at a telecom base station located in the Philippines.
The Acta Power is a self-recharging back-up power system incorporating a fuel cell and low cost on-board hydrogen generation. It has been developed to meet the back-up power requirements of telecom base stations in off-grid or bad grid locations by utilising rainwater for water supply and avoiding the cost and logistical barriers of hydrogen delivery to base stations in remote or inaccessible sites.
Acta’s first Acta Power trial in the Philippines was announced in July 2013 following the announcement of trials in Africa and Australia, all with major mobile telecoms operators, and a separate renewable energy storage trial in the UK. In addition, earlier this month the Company signed a distribution partnership with Shanghai Sunwise Energy Systems Co. Ltd for the distribution of electrolysers and back-up power systems in China.
The new Philippine trial will be undertaken in partnership with Lead Core Technology Systems Inc. (LCTSI), a technical support company specialising in battery systems and engineering support services for telecommunications and other industries. LCTSI will be Acta’s engineering and client services partner and will be responsible for the installation and technical management of the trial as well as the commercial promotion of the installed system within the final client’s organisation.
The trial unit is due to be shipped in October and will undergo initial testing on site for one month prior to a two-month live trial at a grid-connected telecom base station. Subject to the successful outcome of the trial, the partners believe that there is the potential for a significant level of orders in this marketplace for Acta Power systems.
Paolo Bert, Chief Executive of Acta, commented: "We have seen a strong level of interest in the capabilities of the Acta Power among the major mobile phone operators in the Philippines, and we are delighted to be entering our second trial agreement there. We believe there is an outstanding business opportunity in the region for our unique back-up power system."

Nanocrystal Catalyst Transforms Impure Hydrogen into Electricity

Newswise — UPTON, NY — The quest to harness hydrogen as the clean-burning fuel of the future demands the perfect catalysts—nanoscale machines that enhance chemical reactions. Scientists must tweak atomic structures to achieve an optimum balance of reactivity, durability, and industrial-scale synthesis. In an emerging catalysis frontier, scientists also seek nanoparticles tolerant to carbon monoxide, a poisoning impurity in hydrogen derived from natural gas. This impure fuel—40 percent less expensive than the pure hydrogen produced from water—remains largely untapped.
Now, scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory—in research published online September 19, 2013 in the journal Nature Communications—have created a high-performing nanocatalyst that meets all these demands. The novel core-shell structure—ruthenium coated with platinum—resists damage from carbon monoxide as it drives the energetic reactions central to electric vehicle fuel cells and similar technologies.
“These nanoparticles exhibit perfect atomic ordering in both the ruthenium and platinum, overcoming structural defects that previously crippled carbon monoxide-tolerant catalysts,” said study coauthor and Brookhaven Lab chemist Jia Wang. “Our highly scalable, ‘green’ synthesis method, as revealed by atomic-scale imaging techniques, opens new and exciting possibilities for catalysis and sustainability.”
Fabricating Crystals with Atomic Perfection
Catalysts inside fuel cells pry free the intrinsic energy of hydrogen molecules and convert it into electricity. Platinum performs exceptionally well with pure hydrogen fuel, but the high cost and rarity of the metal impedes its widespread deployment. By coating less expensive metals with thin layers of platinum atoms, however, scientists can retain reactivity while driving down costs and creating core-shell structures with superior performance parameters.
The carbon monoxide impurities in hydrogen formed from natural gas present another challenge to scientists because they deactivate most platinum catalysts. Ruthenium—less expensive than platinum—promotes carbon monoxide tolerance, but is more prone to dissolution during fuel cells’ startup/shutdowns, causing gradual performance decay.
“We set out to protect ruthenium cores from dissolution with complete platinum shells just one or two atoms thick,” Wang said. “Previous surface science studies revealed remarkable variation of surface properties in this core-shell configuration, suggesting the need and the opportunity to perfect the recipe with precise control.”
Doubts existed about whether or not a highly ordered ruthenium core was even possible with a platinum shell—previously synthesized nanoparticles exhibited a weakened crystal structure in the ruthenium.
“Luckily, we found that the loss of ruthenium structure was due to defect-mediated interlayer diffusion, which is avoidable,” Wang said. “By eliminating any lattice defects in ruthenium nanoparticles before adding platinum, we preserved the crucial, discrete atomic structure of each element.”
The scalable and inexpensive synthesis method uses ethanol—a common and inexpensive solvent—as the reductant to fabricate the nanoparticle core and shell. The sophisticated process requires no other organic agents or metal templates.
“Simply adjusting temperature, water, and acidity of the solutions gave us complete control over the process and yielded remarkably consistent ruthenium nanoparticle size and uniform platinum coating,” said Brookhaven Lab chemist Radoslav Adzic, another coauthor on the study. “This simplicity offers high reproducibility and scalability, and it demonstrates the clear commercial potential of our method.”
Core-Shell Characterization
“We took the completed catalysts to other facilities here at the Lab to reveal the exact details of the atomic structure,” Wang said. “This kind of rapid collaboration is only possible when you work right next door to world-class experts and instruments.”
Scientists at Brookhaven Lab’s National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) revealed the atomic density, distribution, and uniformity of the metals in the nanocatalysts using a technique called x-ray diffraction, where high-frequency light scatters and bends after interacting with individual atoms. The collaboration also used a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) at Brookhaven’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN) to pinpoint the different sub-nanometer atomic patterns. With this instrument, a focused beam of electrons bombarded the particles, creating a map of both the core and shell structures.
“We found that the elements did not mix at the core-shell boundary, which is a critical stride,” said CFN physicist Dong Su, coauthor and STEM specialist. “The atomic ordering in each element, coupled with the right theoretical models, tells us about how and why the new nanocatalyst works its magic.”
Determining the ideal functional configuration for the core and shell also required the use of the CFN’s expertise in computational science. With density functional theory (DFT) calculations, the computer helps identify the most energetically stable platinum-ruthenium structure.
“The DFT analysis connects the dots between performance and configuration, and it corroborates our direct observations from x-ray diffraction and electron microscopy,” Adzic said.
Discovery to Deployment
Ballard Power Systems, a company dedicated to fuel cells production, independently evaluated the performance of the new core-shell nanocatalysts. Beyond testing the low-platinum catalysts’ high activity in pure hydrogen, Ballard looked specifically at the resistance to carbon monoxide present in impure hydrogen gas and the dissolution resistance during startup/shutdown cycles. The bilayer nanocatalyst exhibited high durability and enhanced carbon monoxide tolerance—the combination enables the use of impure hydrogen without much loss in efficiency or increase in catalyst cost.
The nanocatalyst also performed well in producing hydrogen gas through the hydrogen evolution reaction, leading to another industrial partnership. Proton Onsite, a company specializing in splitting hydrogen from water and other similar processes, has completed feasibility tests for deploying the technology in their production of water electrolyzers, which will now require about 98 percent less platinum.
“Water electrolyzers are already on the market, so this nanocatalyst can deploy quickly,” Wang said. “When hydrogen fuel cell vehicles roll out in the coming years, this new structure may accelerate development by driving down costs for both metal catalysts and fuel.”

Dark Cross steht an. Sieht so aus als würde 38 Tagelinie demnächst von oben nach unten 100 Tagelinie kreuzen. Wäre nur  als 1. Warnsignal Richtung langfristiger Abwärtstrend zu sehen. Man wird sehen.

ist nur Wahrscheinlichkeit und man fährt damit besser als mit Zahlen, denn der Chart ist schneller als die Zahlen !  Er zeigt schon Änderungen, wenn die Zahlen noch garnicht richtig erhoben sind.
