The new mobile app “Hang w/” is taking other social media vehicles by storm.
The app transforms your cell phone or tablet into a live broadcasting social media tool, allowing users to “hang with” celebrities and each other via live-streaming video and chat, creating broadcasts that link straight to the app and also to your Facebook wall.

“Hang w/” was created mainly to help celebrities and other users with large followings to build interactive social media relationships with their friends or fans. With “Hang w/,” users can follow celebrities or other people who interest them, and notified when that person broadcasts live.
“It connects thousands of people simultaneously by allowing anyone on the platform to broadcast live,” said Hang With Inc. co-founder and CEO Andrew Maltin. “It’s a hard concept to understand until you use it, but once you do, you’ll realize that there are no time zones. Some people are eating breakfast in the morning, some are out partying at midnight, some are in class at 2 in the afternoon.
“But it’s all happening right now, and I can be in all of those places at the same time, chatting with them, asking about their day, listening to their music and just being with them.”
The average user can upload dozens or even hundreds of broadcasts every day. Users can share every aspect of their lives with others, and many users comment on and view the daily lives of others.
“Hang w/” was developed by MEDL Mobile Inc. to create a more powerful social media platform for celebrities to utilize. Fan engagement has become a popular topic among Hollywood executives and other social media companies who are seeking interactive engagement between celebrities and fans.
The “Hang w/” platform has appealed to more than 100 celebrities, including 50 Cent, Ali Landry, Cheech and Chong, Kaskade, Larry the Cable Guy, Lucy Hale, Terrell Owens and Timbaland.
“There’s something amazing about being ‘with’ your favorite celeb while they are broadcasting, being able to chat and share in the experience as it happens,” Maltin said.
The “Hang w/” app prides itself on not being fabricated or ran by a social media team. Real celebrities are interacting with fans, and this is something we know is real because the user can see it live. Through Facebook or Twitter, who knows if it’s actually the celebrity interacting with you?
“We developed ‘Hang w/’ to create a more powerful form of social media – one that can’t be faked or fabricated,” Maltin said. “We wanted to enable people to literally be ‘with’ each other, all around the planet. We believe that life is better when we are with each other live.”
The “Hang w/” app has been gaining popularity and recently passed the one million download mark. Statistics were released last week showing “Hang w/” engages fans up to 250 times more than leading social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
The amount of users who tune in to a celebrity’s broadcast were compared to the followers that like, favorite, retweet, comment and share content of the same celebrities on other social media platforms.
Many new updates and projects are coming from Andrew Maltin and the “Hang w/” app, including a concert sponsored by South by Southwest with rapper 50 Cent headlining March 11, live-broadcasted by the “Hang w/” app, connecting celebrities with fans through a live-stream and simultaneous chat. Fans will get an intimate look backstage with 50 Cent, as well as exclusive access to his concert and new material.
Group broadcasting, private messaging, new channels and more celebrities are coming soon to the mobile app, which will only increase its popularity. Maltin and his team are working to help users find things that interest them to better the app.

After G-Unit head 50 Cent dominated his Hang w/ live stream performance this week at Austin, Texas' South By Southwest, SOHH reached out to company president Dave Swartz for his take on the must-see set.
Blown away by Fif's stage presence, the Hang w/ president gushed over Tuesday's big night.
"50's performance last night was incredible. You could see in his eyes how much he loves being on stage performing," Swartz told SOHH. "The audience could feel it and the result was an electric show. The fans on Hang w/ could feel it too. 50 broadcast almost his entire performance live on his Hang w/ account and the chats flying in from around the globe were over the top in awe of 50 and his new music." (SOHH)
Swartz also boasted about the growing popularity of his mobile streaming application.
"In the words of one Hang w/ user in the live chat, "Hang w/ is front row at the biggest show!" It's absolutely where we see this technology going, and last night was a big step into the future." (SOHH)
During the set, 50 performed some new music from his upcoming Animal Ambition album.
50 Cent kicks off the promotion behind his upcoming fifth solo album, "Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire To Win," by partnering up with the Hang With Inc. for a livestream performance at SXSW. He's also come on board as an investor of the mobile app. Mid-set, 50 performed a new "Animal Ambition" song, "Hold On," for the first time and seven days before its official release (March 18). The song features 50 rapping about those "with too much pride." (Billboard)
Last fall, Hang w/ Swartz spoke to SOHH about the importance of Fif's street presence being behind his company.
"In this business, street cred is very important. We're launching a medium that we ultimately want to appeal to a younger demographic and if you don't have street cred, then you're not going to be successful. I think it is all a part of the business. I think the fact that 50 Cent is such a good businessman, he recognizes it as well. He's willing to bring that to the platform and that means a lot." (SOHH)

50 Cent is already enjoying the splendors of being a freshly certified independent artist by putting on performances to his exact design.
Before he unveiled the album artwork to his upcoming new LP Animal Ambition, the ruthless rhyme-slinger was in Austin, TX for SXSW 2014 where he hosted his Hang W/ 50 showcase with Machine Gun Kelly and G-Unit loyalist Kidd Kidd.
The significance behind the show was not only to deliver fans with brand-spanking gangsta music but also to test the mettle of Hang W/, the popular live-streaming video social media platform that allows fans who can't be physically present at events still get a front row seat.
Hang W/'s ingenious features include an interactive chat module and accessibility on iPhone, iPad or Android devices. The showcase was brought about by 50 Cent, who just happens to be one of Hang W's investors as well as Dave Swartz and Andrew Maltin, co-founders, President and CEO of Hang With, Inc, respectively. "We are thrilled to be headlining South by Southwest Interactive crossover night with our partner 50 Cent and bridge the gap for artists and fans for a one of a kind experience all over the world," Swartz said as the event drew near. The "In Da Club" rapper shared the same sentiment, stating he was "going to bring my fans behind the scenes and give the opportunity to those who couldn't make it a chance to experience a concert at South by Southwest."
And that he did yesterday, March 11 at the 1100 Warehouse located on E. 5th Street in Austin. Everybody appeared to enjoy the show as the phones were out in full force with the popular app that's already reached the one million download mark.
That is, everybody, except for 50's former labelmate and the previously title holder of the #1 album in country ScHoolboy Q. The two actually worked together on the Billboard-smash Oxymoron, but apparently the TDE member's celebrity hasn't transcended to Texas just yet as he was denied access at the door. He later tweeted the debacle saying, "Sxsw 2 Hollywood now I migHt go Home for deez days off," to which 50 replied "How the ain't gonna let @schoolboyQ in the n***a #1."
Must have been one helluva party. Check the gallery for exclusive pics of the show as well as Q's comical Twitter outburst.

Es ist die einzige App, die Live-Sendungen anbietet!
Keine andere App bietet so etwas an!
