Wedet mal wieder normal !!!!!!!!!!!

There is only one farmer/rancher that I can think of that is that huge of an operator. But I'm confused by the word 'manage' in the pr. If I take the meaning of that term to mean they don't own, but manage the daily operations than I can think of 2 that handle this size of operation. They are located central/west part of the state, where land is going for 2-$3500 an acre. Considering there are 640 ares to a section, the amount of land we are talking here for farming is enormous,a little over 78 sections of land. And unless you've farmed, it would be hard for you to probably understand how truly big of an operation this person has. Seriously,he probably has forgotten to harvest some of it at one point and time in his life, that's how much he has. And to think that apparently doesn't even count any pasture land for the cattle operation.

Maybe this'll help.

Facebook response to similar question:
AquaLiv, Inc.: It is one company who farms 50,000 acres of corn and wheat. They own a lot of land. 50,000 acres are farmed, while many thousands more are used for cattle grazing.

Which one?
Do you know if Monsanto owns and/or manages any ag operations in SD?

Agree. It takes a few maps to help understand the enormity of the potential also. And these are "only" corn, not wheat.

As far as I know monsanto is strictly a bio tech company, and doesn't own/manage anything here. And the farmer/rancher I'm thinking about is home based in Potter county. There is one other possible one that I'm checking to see if they fit the acreage numbers.
