unterbewerteter US-Transportgigant!

MIQ Logistics, the former logistics arm of YRC Worldwide Inc., is moving its global headquarters to the Sprint Nextel Corp. campus in Overland Park.
The company said Tuesday that it will house about 200 employees on one floor of 11501 Outlook St. with expansion rights to another floor. The move is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
“We also anticipate significant expansion over the coming years, and this location will support that growth,” Chairman and CEO Joey Carnes said in a release.
COO John Carr said the company considered office space throughout the metro area but decided to remain in Overland Park to support the city’s business climate and to make it easier on MIQ’s employees.

Lieber Gott ich brauche Geduld, aber sofort.
Blauwal

Feb 08, 2011 (Lebanon Daily News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
New Penn Motor Express is not for sale.
So said the president and chief executive officer of New Penn's parent, YRC Worldwide, during a conference call with trucking industry analysts late last week.
Analyst David Ross asked CEO William Zollars about whether YRCW might consider "carving any of those (YRCW holdings) out and potentially selling Holland or New Penn or one of those?"
"No," Zollars said, "I think we're very comfortable with the portfolio as it exists. And I think all of those brands are driving really good equity in the market. And so we have no plans to do that, David."
Based in Kansas, YRCW is a holding company for several brands, including trucking companies New Penn, Holland and YRC. New Penn's headquarters is in South Lebanon Township.
Earlier in Friday's fourth-quarter earnings conference call, Zollars announced that YRCW's Regional, which includes New Penn, grew volume (tonnage) 13.9 percent from the prior year and exceeded the 8.9 percent growth from the third quarter.
Overall operating results showed a fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year earnings improvement. The full year cash flow from operations improved by about $300 million compared to 2009.
In late September, YRCW's board of directors approved a tentative agreement with the Teamsters that modified and extended a labor agreement for two years until March 31, 2015, and extended a 15 percent wage reduction until then. It also delayed until June 1 the date the company must resume pension contributions; the new contribution rate will be 25 percent of the rate that was in effect on July 1, 2009.
Teamsters approved the modifications in late October.

A securities class action complaint has been filed against Kansas-based freight transportation firm YRC Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: YRCW). The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas on behalf of purchasers of the securities of YRC from the period of April 24, 2008 to November 2, 2009. The shareholder complaint alleges that YRC did not disclose to investors that its financial condition was far worse than represented during the time period specified in the suit and, in fact, it had been approaching insolvency.
Amid the credit crisis and the slump in freight demand in the second half of 2008, investors became wary of YRC’s financial situation and ability to stay afloat. Shares plummeted from $20 in August 2008 to below $4 in October 2008 (share values reflect prices prior to the 1-for-25 reverse-stock split). In reaction to the sliding stock price, CEO William D. Zollars published a letter to shareholders to reassure investors of the company’s financial strength and viability.
Zollars said YRC was in compliance with bank debt covenants, had liquidity and positive cash flow, was paying down debt and improving leverage, and was prepared should credit tighten further. Additionally, YRC had eliminated 3,750 jobs at various units, representing roughly 6% of YRC’s total work force of 58,000. The complaint asserts that these restructuring attempts misled investors and that Zollars and other YRC executives continued to deceive the investing public by making positive financial announcements about the company until November 2009.
On November 2, 2009, shares of YRC plummeted 63.84% to a reverse-split adjusted value of $33 per share after the company said a debt exchange offer will lead to massive dilution of existing shares and hand over nearly 95% of the company to creditors, Reuters reported. In the exchange offer, creditors gave up about $536.8 million in debt plus interest for shares of common stock and new convertible preferred shares. The exchange would give YRC access to more cash, including a $106 million revolving credit line.
“While the exchange offering might not be great for current shareholders, we believe YRC has significantly increased its ability to avoid bankruptcy if the exchange offer is accepted by bondholders,” Longbow Research Lee Klaskow told Reuters back on November 2, 2009.
If you purchased any securities of YRC Worldwide from April 24, 2008 through November 2, 2009, you may file a motion with the court no later than April 8, 2011, and request that the court appoint you as lead plaintiff. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. To be appointed lead plaintiff, the court must decide that your claim is typical of the claims of other class members and that you will adequately represent the class. Your share in any recovery will not be enhanced or diminished by your decision of whether or not to serve as a lead plaintiff. You can recover as an absent class member without moving for lead plaintiff. The action discussed here was not filed by Milberg.
