THE  mining lease agreement for Bougainville expired last Friday but the  mining lease agreement automatically extends for another 21 days as per  the Mining Act, parliament has been told.
Prime Minister Peter  O’Neill said this when responding to a series of questions by National  Capital District Governor Powes Parkop.
Parkop asked if the government was going to review the mining release agreement that expired last Friday.
He  said many people in Papua New Guinea and Bougainvilleans had gone  through hard times and he asked why there should not be any review.
He asked if there was any moratorium in place for any further exploration in any other part of the autonomous region.
He asked if a review could be done with a year-to-year lease agreement.
O’Neill said there would not be any review because of an automatic 21-year extension clause under the Bougainville agreement.
He said the Bougainville mining agreement did not cater for any review nor did it allow the government to cancel it.
He  said the government would be consulting with the people and the ABG to  find a solution to review the 21-year automatic extension.

After more than two decades of forced closure the extremely valuable Panguna mine in Bougainville is again on the agenda. The proven reserves are said to be valued at over $A50 billion and the mine is believed to be potentially one of the world's largest producers of both copper and gold. Peter Taylor, Chief Executive of Bougainville Copper Limited (BCL) visited the island in May 2011 for talks with the President of the Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG), John Momis, who supports reopening the mine.

einzige mine die anleger hier finden ist eine tretmine ;-( hundeshice am schuh muss man nicht haben ;-)  

geiles jahr für diejenigen die auf diesen du##zock reingefallen sind. und das jahr ist noch nicht vorbei. nicht ärgern, euer geld haben jetzt andere. ;-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

eure Panik mache ist doch völlig fehl am Platz,kümmert euch lieber um Aktien in denen ihr investiert seid,denen geht es nämlich gar nicht gut
BEI BCL IST ALLES IN BESTER ORDNUNG!!!!

Übrigens gab es heute bei bestimmten Aktien schon 120 Euro Umsatz(in FRA),und eine Aktie kostet gerade mal 6 Cent,da ist bestimmt ein Großinvestor eingestiegen.

schöne Weihnachten,bei BCL läuft alles nach Plan,auch weiterhin!!!  

in bester ordnung... ein blick auf den chart zeigt, daß eben nicht. wäre alles in ordnung hätte der kurs dann mehr als 60% in 2011 verloren?

SIR Rabbie Namaliu has been appointed as the new chairman of the leading PNG-based financial services company – the Kina Securities Group.
Sir Rabbie succeeded Hilary Wong who had stepped down after eight years in the position.
During Wong’s time as chairman, Kina has grown to become one of the largest non-bank financial services companies in PNG.
Sir Rabbie is a distinguished statesman and committed Papua New Guinean with ministerial experience in foreign affairs and trade, treasury, primary industry, petroleum and energy and other areas of government responsibility.
He had been a non-executive director of Kina Securities Ltd, and foundation chairman of the publicly-listed investment company Kina Asset Management Ltd. Sir Rabbie has also been appointed as the CEO of the soon-to-be-established Sovereign Wealth Fund.
He was appointed chairman of Kramer Ausenco, a new joint venture of PNG engineering company Kramer (PNG) Ltd and Ausenco of Australia.
He is non-executive director of Marengo Mining Ltd, which is developing the Yandera gold and copper mine and also a member of the board of Bougainville Copper Limited and is on the advisory board of InterOil Corp.
Kina Securities was founded in 1985 and provided a diversity of financial and investment services including investment fund management, business and personal lending, superannuation fund administration, stock-broking and trustee services.
Sir Rabbie said a recent strategic alliance between Kina Funds Management and global investment bank Credit Suisse would expand existing and new business opportunities.
This initiative ensured that Kina Funds Management now has access to international advice and guidance as well as direct access into new investment in developed and developing markets via Credit Suisse’s global footprint.
This allowed Kina to address complex investment requirements arising from growth in the finance, mining and exploration sectors in PNG and also other areas of the South Pacific.
“As PNG and the South Pacific continues to grow economically and has become increasingly attractive to international investors, this important link with one of the world’s largest banking groups is a further important milestone for PNG and its ongoing opportunities and growth in the 21st century,” Sir Rabbie said.
He said that Kina Securities had recently made a significant investment in upgrading of its investment management system and development of a comprehensive risk management structure.
In addition, Kina had also implemented the case360 workflow system into its fund administration division.

Geht wohl bei weitem über deinen Zeithorizont, aber wenn die BCA Review erstmal gestartet ist und sich die zu erwartende Dividende von 2,70 USD / Share http://www.bougainville-copper.eu/bcl-fair-value-2.html bei voller Produktion herumspricht wird BOC kontinuierlich in Richtung "fairer Wert" ansteigen. ;-)))))

Rio  Tinto has commenced discussions on the reopening of its mammoth (and  mothballed) copper and gold Panguna mine on Bougainville. 

Construction  is planned to commence in 2016 and production to start three years  later. Should these plans materialise, PNG will get a lot of wind in its  sails to carry the nation through the rough waters of the global  financial storm.

THE long awaited Council of Elders elections on Bougainville will now be on, after the writs were officially issued on Monday.
The issue of writs were signed by Local level Governments ABG minister Joseph Nopei and returning officer Sione Nash and witnessed by LLG CEO Herbert Kimai and Electoral boss on Bougainville Reitama Taravaru.
Also there to witness the signing were members of the media and other staff from the LLG and electoral offices in Buka.
“It is now very much appreciated when the long awaited COE elections have arrived, a lot of people have been complaining to the government about it,” Minister Nopei said.
He said the elections would also cover the remote atolls mainland of Bougainville and also will include the Arawa and Buka town councils.
“The election manager Reitama Taravaru will be conducting the polls and the nominations are open now and will close next Tuesday.” he said.
