Drilling at the Neuron Property Intersects Graphite Mineralization19:20 14.03.14

PR Newswire

VANCOUVER, March 14, 2014

VANCOUVER, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Callinex Mines Inc. (CNX – TSX.V) (CLLXF-OTCQX) is pleased to announce that two diamond drill holes have been completed at the company's wholly owned Neuron graphite property in Northern Manitoba.  Graphitic horizons were observed visually and occur from surface to depths of 80 metres. Within the 0-80 metre intersections two notable near solid graphite intervals ranging from 0.5 metres to 3 metres have been identified in both drill holes. The near solid graphite zones are preceded and followed by wispy graphite mineralization throughout the host rock (quartz-bitotite schist). Logging and sampling of drill core was completed at a company facility. Samples are being sent in batches to SGS Labs in Lakefield, Ontario. There, core will undergo testing to determine the content of graphitic carbon, as well as grain size and liberation characteristics.

This initial round of drilling is testing EM targets identified by an airborne survey conducted during the fall of 2013 (see company press release of January 8th, 2014).  The company's exploration team is encouraged by this early success. The drill program is ongoing, and is currently concentrated on expanding the identified graphite zone.  Several promising EM targets remain untested at this stage in other areas of the company's 44,300 hectare property.

VANCOUVER, April 23, 2014

VANCOUVER, April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Callinex Mines (TSX.V-CNX) (OTCQX-CLLXF) is pleased to announce that assays have confirmed high-grade graphite mineralization in samples from the first two diamond drill holes at its Neuron Graphite property in Northern Manitoba near Thompson. Carbon graphite grades of 10.88% have been measured over multiple sections of mineralization, including a 14.5 meter section of mineralization, beginning only 4.5 metres below surface.

A preliminary analysis of the mineralogy of the samples by SGS labs has determined that the graphite mineralization occurs in coarse, polycrystalline aggregates and layers. The graphite forms fine to coarse flakes ranging from 100 ?m (micrometres) to 2 millimetres as individual grains. SGS labs has expressed that the graphite sampled at Neuron "is well crystalline and it might liberate well at around 1 mm grind." Work is underway to more suitably determine the liberation characteristics.

Company Chairman and CEO Mike Muzylowski is encouraged by this first batch of assays, and is optimistic regarding the coming batches. "These samples are representative of the high-carbon content, large flake graphite that we had hoped for at Neuron. We're looking forward to results from additional holes, and from more detailed liberation tests."

The drilling program was carried-out from late February to early April and consisted of 12 drill holes totaling 2,226 metres. The program successfully identified graphite mineralization in 10 of 12 drill holes. The zone of mineralization remains open along strike and down dip. Logging and sampling of the core has recently been completed at a company facility, and samples are being shipped to SGS labs in Lakefield, Ontario for assay and mineralogy work. Assays from additional drill holes and results from metallurgical work are forthcoming.

Graphite mineralization occurs near surface in quartz-biotite schist.  The graphite mineralization textures vary from fine to near solid.  The first two drill holes, NEU001 and NEU002, were drilled from the same set-up and were oriented 1000 and dipping -870 and -550, respectively.

Table 1 outlines the mineralized widths of interest in diamond drill holes NEU001 and NEU002.

Callinex Mines maintained a QA/QC program at all stages of exploration. Drill core recovery was calculated, measured and recorded at the Neuron property before being cut and sampled. Samples were sawed in half, one half of each sample being kept for storage and the other half placed in a pre-labeled plastic bag, tagged with the sample number and recorded in the log. Callinex QA/QC samples were inserted into the group of samples and shipped to SGS labs in Lakefield, ON, where they were crushed, split, pulverized to 250 g samples at 200 mesh and then assayed. The lab employs internal quality control by assaying pulp duplicates and inserting quality control standards of predetermined values and a blank sample.

About the Neuron property:

The 43,000 hectare Neuron graphite exploration property was acquired by staking in 2013. A search of Manitoba government archives confirmed company Chairman and CEO Mike Muzylowski's knowledge of historic nickel exploration programs in the area that had encountered high-grade graphite incidentally. Following staking, the company conducted a 1,800 kilometer airborne survey which identified multiple drill targets (see company press release Jan 08, 2014).  This recent drilling program has tested the first two such targets. Eight targets remain un-tested.

The Neuron property is the site of a hydro-electric dam, operated by the provincial government. A 220 kv power line runs the length of the property. The Neuron property is in close proximity to provincial highway 6 and associated infrastructure.

VANCOUVER, April 25, 2014

VANCOUVER, April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Callinex Mines Inc. (CNX-TSX.V) ( CLLXF – OTCQX) is pleased to announce that the third diamond drill hole of their recently completed campaign at their Neuron graphite property has intersected the highest grade of graphite mineralization to date, over minable widths.

Assays have confirmed that diamond drill hole NEU003 contains a 4.10 meter section grading 60.38% carbon graphite, which is part of a larger 56.00 meter intersection grading 5.91% carbon graphite.

The mineralized zone in NEU003 begins only 17.20 meters below surface, consisting of disseminated to solid mineralization in various concentrations, to a depth of 117.5 meters. The hole was drilled 20 metres from recently reported diamond drill holes NEU001 & NEU002, oriented at 102° and dipping at -70°. With the benefit of this intersection, Callinex' exploration team will be able to model the strike and dip of the rich graphitic intervals, and better delineate the orientation of the horizon.

Company Chairman and CEO Mike Muzylowski expressed satisfaction with the continuing emergence of this structure: "What we have uncovered here at Neuron appears to be unique. The high carbon content, coupled with large flake size is exactly what we had hoped for when we staked this area. The mineralization appears to be shallow and gently dipping."

The Neuron Property is located in Northern Manitoba near Thompson. A hydro-electric dam operated by the Manitoba Government is on the company's mineral tenure, and 220 kV power lines run the length of the 43,000 hectare property. As previously reported, preliminary analysis of the project's mineralogy by SGS labs determined that the mineralization occurs in coarse polycrystalline aggregates and layers, forming fine to coarse flakes ranging from 100 ?m (micrometres) to 2 millimetres. Results from tests designed to suitably determine the liberation characteristics of the material are forthcoming.

Assay work is currently being done on holes NEU010 - NEU012. A liberation analysis is also underway at SGS Laboratories to determine the characteristics and size of the flake graphite encountered at Neuron. Initial analysis of the mineralization has shown that it occurs in coarse polycrystalline aggregates and layers, forming fine to coarse flakes ranging from 100µm (micrometres) to 2000 µm. (1000 µm = 1mm)

In today's market, graphite flake concentrates become eligible for premium pricing when sized above 150 µm. and concentrates comprised of flakes larger than 368 µm command an additional premium.

To date, 8 of Callinex's 9 diamond drill holes at the Neuron property have returned graphite mineralization.

Callinex maintained a QA/QC program at all stages of exploration. Drill core recovery was calculated, measured and recorded at the Neuron property before being cut and sampled. Samples were sawed in half, one half of each sample being kept for storage and the other half placed in a pre-labeled plastic bag, tagged with the sample number and recorded in the log.
