Vestas secures 84 MW service agreement with an option for up to 150 MW in Romania
Vestas has secured a 15-year service contract covering 42 V90-2.0 MW turbines at the Topolog Dorobantu wind power plant in Tulcea County in Romania.
The last of the 42 turbines is expected to be installed within April this year. The order has been placed by LUKERG Renew, a joint venture between ERG Renew and LUKOIL. ERG Renew is Italy’s largest wind energy producer, with an installed capacity of 1,340 MW throughout Europe. LUKOIL is a major international vertically-integrated oil and gas company, accounting for 2.2 per cent of global output of crude oil.

Delivery of the turbines will start in the third quarter of 2014, and the wind farm is expected to be commissioned before the end of the year.
As well as installation, the contract includes a ten-year service agreement, featuring Vestas' remote surveillance system.
The order has been placed by Tilawind Corporation, a special-purpose company owned by Costa Rican corporation New Tessela together with developer Gruman Resources.

Renewable Energy Systems Americas is negotiating a supply contract for 100 V100 wind turbines with Vestas for its Pleasant Valley wind project in southeastern Minnesota, Recharge learns.
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission recently approved the developer’s application to amend the site permit from the original 301MW nameplate capacity project to 200MW, which is the amount Xcel Energy’s Northern States Power unit has agreed to purchase under a long-term agreement.
Last September, RES Americas and Vestas announced an umbrella turbine supply agreement for up to 610MW with a firm 60MW order. It was unclear if Pleasant Valley would be part of that deal.
The PUC decision enables RES Americas to utilize taller 311.7-foot (95-metre) towers and reconfigure the project http://www.rechargenews.com/wind/policy_market/article1352755.ece
Vestas has 960MW of turbines in its order books for Texas that have been publicly announced, with most of the six projects due for commissioning in 2015, Recharge learns.
Delivery schedules for the turbines (all 2MW) are as follows:
Hereford I, 100MW - Deliveries expected to begin in fall 2014 with commissioning in early 2015. Lincoln Renewable Energy is the project developer and EDF Renewable Energy is the asset owner.
Keechi, 110 MW - Deliveries expected to begin in summer this year, with commissioning in early 2015. RES Americas is the project developer and Enbridge is the asset owner. Microsoft is the power purchaser.
Route 66, 150 MW - Deliveries expected to begin first quarter of 2015 with commissioning in mid-2015. First Wind

Vestas has received its largest ever order in Finland with a 99 MW order from leading Finnish developer TuuliWatti Oy. The order consists of two projects utilising V126-3.3 MW turbines and featuring Vestas’ Large Diameter Steel Towers (LDST), which allows for taller hub heights and therefore greater annual energy production at low wind speeds.
The order comprises the 73 MW Kalajoki project, which will be the first large-scale wind power plant in Finland. Delivery of the turbines will begin in the fourth quarter of 2014 and the project is expected to be completed in Q3 2015.
Delivery of the 26 MW Siikainen project will begin in Q3 2014 and is expected to be completed in Q1 2015. Both projects include a VestasOnline® Business SCADA system and a five-year Active Management Output (AOM) 5000 service agreement with options for two additional extensions of five years. .....
