Mr. Arturo Elizondo reports
SANTACRUZ REPORTS PROGRESS ON VETA GRANDE MILL EXPANSION AND ADDITIONAL DRILLING CAMPAIGN AT ARMADOS VEIN
Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd.'s construction works to expand the Veta Grande mill capacity to 750 tons per day are 85 per cent advanced. Commissioning of this expansion is expected to start in late March. The mill expansion is being financed by Carrizal Mining SA de CV pursuant to the Carrizal letter of intent (see press release dated Dec. 14, 2017).
In addition, Santacruz advises that the previously announced drill campaign (see press release dated Jan. 9, 2018), at the Veta Grande project has been expanded to include an initial 3,000-metre underground diamond drill program on the Armados vein. In order to complete the program in a timely manner Carrizal is mobilizing a second drill rig to the Veta Grande mine with drilling expected to commence by mid-March.
Carlos Silva, chief operating officer of Santacruz, stated, "The expansion of the Veta Grande project diamond drill program to include the Armados vein will allow us to better delineate a mine plan on this vein in anticipation of the inminent expansion of the Veta Grande mill capacity." Mr. Silva continued, "The mill expansion activities are in line with our budget and commissioning of the new ball mill is scheduled to start by the end of the first quarter aiming to achieve designed efficiencies during the month of April."

Santacruz Silver Completes Veta Grande Mill Expansion
VANCOUVER, March 23, 2018 /CNW/ - Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. (TSX.V:SCZ) (the "Company" or "Santacruz") reports that expansion of milling capacity at its Veta Grande Project to 750 tpd has been completed. The mill is anticipated to be operating at full capacity by early in the second quarter 2018. Currently the mill is operating at 450 tpd and will ramp up in stages until it reaches the new designed capacity.
Management will next focus on enhancing mining efficiencies including the construction of an underground tunnel system that will connect the Veta Grande, San José, Armados and La Flor veins. Upon completion, all underground mining areas will be connected by a new ore haulage level. The consolidation of the underground operations will significantly improve operating efficiencies and is expected to have a positive impact on cash operating costs.
The completion of the mill expansion was commemorated on March 20, 2018, at a ceremony in Veta Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico, in which approximately 150 people attended including several Mexican State and Municipal authorities.
Carlos Silva, Santacruz's COO stated "I commend our Technical Team for achieving this significant milestone ahead of schedule. This new increased milling capacity will allow us to shortly achieve positive cash flow at the Veta Grande operations." Mr. Silva continued; "Our exploration programs will keep advancing to establish and increase our mineral resources with the eventual plan to further expand mill capacity at this historical silver rich mining district of Veta Grande".

Santacruz produces 154,175 oz AgEq in Q1
2018-05-24 16:07 ET - News Release
Mr. Arturo Prestamo reports
SANTACRUZ SILVER REPORTS FIRST QUARTER 2018 PRODUCTION RESULTS
Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd. has released the operating results from the Veta Grande project in Zacatecas, Mexico, and the Rosario project in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, for the first quarter of 2018.
The Company produced a total of 154,175 silver equivalent ounces in Q1 2018 (Q1 2017 - 223,968; Q4 2017 - 139,670). As compared to Q1 2017, the decreased production reflects 30% less tonnes milled at the Rosario Project and a 32% decrease in the average silver equivalent head grade at the Veta Grande Project. As compared to Q4 2017, the increased production reflects an 11% increase in the average silver equivalent head grade at the Rosario Project and a 98% increase in tonnes milled at the Veta Grande Project offset by 22% decrease in the average silver equivalent head grade.
"During Q1 of 2018 management focussed activities on aggressively developing the Veta Grande main ramp in order to access in situ mineralized material from Q3 onwards. This strategy has resulted in lower head grades and reduced metal production for the short run but will pave the way for achieving targeted production for Q3 and beyond." stated Arturo Prestamo. He continued, "At Rosario the millfeed continued to be a blend of development muck and mineralized material from production stopes. During Q2 the percentage of development muck will decrease as more production stopes come online and by Q3 we expect to be at targeted production and head grade levels."
