Moderna liefert weitere 100 Millionen Impfdosen in die USA

Der US-Pharmakonzern Moderna teilte am Freitag mit, die US-Regierung kaufe zusätzlich weitere 100 Millionen Dosen seines Impfstoff-Kandidaten. Diese Dosen würden im zweiten Quartal des kommenden Jahres geliefert. Insgesamt habe die Regierung in Washington damit 200 Millionen Dosen bestellt.

Von den ersten 100 Millionen bereits von den USA gekauften Einheiten würden 20 Millionen noch in diesem Monat von Moderna ausgeliefert, die restlichen 80 Millionen im ersten Quartel 2021. Die USA hätten zudem die Option, 300 Millionen weitere Dosen von Moderna zu kaufen. Der Moderna-Impfstoff muss von der FDA noch zugelassen werden. Darüber will ein Berater-Komitee am kommenden Donnerstag diskutieren.

Moderna’s vaccine candidate is now the most advanced in Canada's regulatory process, but there isn’t a date or estimate yet for when it may be approved. Because this vaccine does not require the same degree of cold storage, the logistical rollout of Moderna doses is expected to be less challenging and opens up the potential locations across the country where it can be administered.
If approved, it would be the first vaccine to be delivered using Canada’s contracted delivery plan through FedEx Express Canada to have doses shipped across the country.
On Dec. 4 the government announced it had updated its deal with Moderna to secure the delivery of an additional 20 million doses of its vaccine candidate “based on the best scientific data available to date, and on the recommendation of the Public Health Agency of Canada and the vaccine task force.”

Wenn man sich die Gewinnschätzungen für 2021 anschaut, ist Moderna trotz diesem tollen Anstieg überhaupt nicht teuer - ein KGV von 17 ist dafür in meinen Augen sogar recht günstig.

Zumal andere Corona-Impfstoffentwickler noch gar keinen Gewinn ausweisen. Ich hab mein Kursziel für Moderna auf $ 250,- gesetzt. Je ein Viertel hatte ich ja (leider) bei $ 100 und $ 125 verkauft.
