Ok folks, polls are open: what will the fed's open market committee tell us today?

I vote for a remaining rate of 5.25 %.

C'mon Mike, that's cheap. The consensus is five and a quarter already. Nobody expects another hike yet.

LOL, everybody is around waiting for the statement.

I'm convinced that the Fed will keep the rate at 5.25 %. Reason: the 91-day T-Bills rated at 5.124 % in yesterday's trade. So the Fed won't dare to hike their rate any further beyond the market price.

However, I don't believe the Fed will lower their rate but won't hike them either.

Hey taishi,

Nice statement. Is it battle-scared or just a hunch?

Cheers

Hey Mike,

this should be battle-scared on several aspects. However, even the Fed itself posts this on their web site (last seen at Dallas Fed's page, forgive I've no link ready, try google on this).

Greetings
