NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Shares of business-to-business e-nablers lost ground in pre-open trading Tuesday after sector saw strong
                    gains on Monday.

Among B2B stocks seeing activity, I2 Technologies (ITWO: news, msgs, alerts) slid $4.50 to $31, Ariba (ARBA:
news, msgs, alerts) fell 69 cents to $19, Commerce One (CMRC: news, msgs, alerts) lost 44 cents to $21.75 in
Instinet. Those stocks are all components of the Merrill Lynch B2B Internet Holdrs (BHH: news, msgs, alerts) ,
which surged 7.9 percent to $11.86 on Monday. The sector tracking stock had hit an all-time low of $10.10 on
Friday, compared to its high of $113.50. The BHH began trading in March 2000.

Also potentially weighing on the sector is the announcement from U.S. shoemaker Nike (NKE: news, msgs,
alerts) late Monday said problems implementing its internal distribution systems contributed to anticipation of a
fiscal third-quarter shortfall. See full story. Nike's shares were still untraded in the pre-open.

Extreme Networks (EXTR: news, msgs, alerts) eased 81 cents to $25 in Instinet. Analyst Mark Sue at Lehman Bros. lowered his rating on
the stock to "buy" from "strong buy," and cut his price target to $40 from $70. Sue believes a combination of changing demand and rising
channel inventory levels, as well as increased competitive pressures, may lead to some near-term uncertainty. He also revenue and
                    earnings estimates for 2001.

In other stocks seeing pre-open activity, Sun Microsystems (SUNW: news, msgs, alerts) edged up 25 cents to $21, VoiceStream Wireless
(VSTR: news, msgs, alerts) advanced $2.44 to $96.

Stock futures indicated U.S. share markets would be slightly negative at the open. March S&P futures (WP=H1: news, msgs, alerts) trimmed
4.10 to 1,269.50, which was about 1 point below fair value, according to figures provided by HL Camp & Company. Nasdaq 100 futures
(AH=H1: news, msgs, alerts) shed 15.00 to 2,085.00.
